Stay in Control of Your Monthly Bills

Managing your household budget can be tough when your electric bill swings from high to low throughout the year. If you’d prefer more predictable payments, Levelized Billing might be the solution for you.

What Is Levelized Billing?

Levelized Billing smooths out those ups and downs by calculating your payment based on the average of your last 12 months of actual bills. This means your payment changes slightly each month but stays close to the same amount, helping you plan better.

How It Works:

  • Your monthly payment: The average of your past 12 months of bills, adjusted for any outstanding balance or credit.
  • What to expect: Some months you’ll pay slightly more than you owe, other months slightly less. By year’s end, it all balances out.
  • Additional charges: Taxes, security light charges, and one-time fees are billed separately and in full.

Benefits:

  • Consistent, manageable payments.
  • No surprises when your energy use spikes during seasonal changes.

Requirements for Levelized Billing

  • Payment due date: Bills must be paid on time each month.
  • Billing history: You need at least 12 months of usage history to enroll.

Need to Adjust or Leave the Plan?

  • You can withdraw at any time. If you withdraw more than once in 12 months, a $4 processing fee applies.
  • If you stop the plan or close your account, you can:
    • Pay off your balance in full.
    • Qualify for a delayed payment agreement.
    • Receive a credit or refund for any overpayment.

Important Notes:

If payments become delinquent, you may be removed from the plan and offered a delayed payment agreement if eligible.

Levelized Billing gives you greater control over your budget while ensuring you only pay for the energy you use. Ready to make your bill more predictable? Contact us to sign up!
